Gold Stars Lesson 10

Gold Stars Lesson #10

This semester has been so much fun that it’s hard to believe there are only 5 more Gold Stars lessons to go! I would love to have you join in me the fall for Brown Teddy Bears!

Please also consider copying and sharing the invitation below with friends (via email, text, social media, etc). I'm going to open up a second session next semester, and would ideally like to have 6 students in each class. We'll keep our class at 10, and the other session will be at 2:15 if people can make that work, but my timing is flexible. I really appreciate any help you can give, and as a thank you, if you refer a person who signs up, I'll give you a musical instrument for your child. :)

Children tend to be divergent thinkers; they can generate many ideas and possibilities from a single situation. Of course some of their ideas are nonsensical, but those wild and unusual ideas are also creative! Allowing children to exercise and express their creativity enhances their general thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.

Problem-solving skills are also increased when children are allowed to make choices, and making choices boosts confidence and fosters responsibility. The Aiken Drum activity is particularly valuable as it encourages children to make choices and express their creative nature!

Optional home fun activity: Make the Aiken Drum cutouts on page. 31 & 33 of your workbook

(Remember, these activities are optional but can be a great bonding experience to do with your child during the week.)
