more than play In music, solfege is a method used to teach pitch and sight singing and can be
utilized at every level of music education. The brain connects more easily with pitch relationships if a syllable is attached, and hand
signs physically reinforce those relationships. Singing melodies in solfege helps the student develop inner hearing, musical
expressiveness, and a feeling for phrasing.
