Black Spiders Lesson 10

Black Spiders Lesson #10

Our time together in Black Spiders is winding down (I know, right?!). I hope you have had as much fun as I have watching your children learn and grow! I would love to have you join us for our next semester, Gold Stars, where we will explore a star and space theme!

Please also consider sharing the invitation below with friends (via email, text, social media, etc). I'm going to open up a second session next semester, and would ideally like to have 6 students in each class. We'll keep our class at 10, and the other session will be at 2:15 if people can make that work, but my timing is flexible. I really appreciate any help you can give, and as a thank you, if you refer a person who signs up, I'll give you a musical instrument for your child's stocking. :)

Our Sound Beginnings “Mr. Manners” song introduces children to some of the most basic manners involved in learning to interact socially by showing respect for others. Having and displaying good manners doesn’t just benefit others with whom the child comes in contact. Benefits to the child himself include the following :

  • Showing respect to others makes children happy and increases their sense of satisfaction
  • Children with good manners are more likely to develop strong positive relationships that buffer stress and increase their sense well-being
  • Interacting appropriately increases confidence and helps a child see themselves as deserving of the respect of others.

Optional home fun activity: Do the Mr. Manners activity on page 23 of your workbook
(Remember, these activities are optional but can be a great bonding experience to do with your child during the week.)
