I’ve enjoyed spending time with you and your children this semester. Thank you for the many ways you contributed to our class throughout the past weeks.

When you brought your child to Sound Beginnings, you introduced them to something life-changing! Studying music enhances the way the brain functions. Making music requires children to tap
into multiple skill sets, often simultaneously. This may explain while those who study music use both the left and the right sides of their frontal cortex more heavily than the average
person. Studies have also shown that musicians more effectively use a creative technique called divergent thinking. And you thought we were just having fun!

(Remember, these activities are optional but can be a great bonding experience to do with your child during the week.)
